Our Philosophy of Patient Care

Patients with cancer and blood disorders have unique needs. Recent advances in diagnostic and treatment technologies enable patients to lead better lives. At Medical Oncology and Hematology, our board certified specialists, oncology-certified nurses, and certified laboratory technicians work in collaboration with area specialists, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, and primary care physicians. Together we provide a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood-related disorders. Nutritional, social service and counseling services are available. Our patients benefit as well by our affiliations with all of the major medical centers in Boston, allowing access to the latest research and experimental protocols.

Patient and family education is important to us. Teaching sessions and patient education literature are made available. We communicate promptly and frequently with our patients' primary care physician, who remains an integral part of the treatment team.

Established over 40 years ago, our practice was the first in southeastern Massachusetts specializing in oncology. Our partners have a combined experience of over 50 years in the practice of oncology and hematology.
